Important Dates


All candidates who will be sitting the Written Tests on Saturday 1 April have been sent an email on 22 March.

If any candidates have not received an  email please check spam or junk folders/mail boxes for the letter.

Alternatively a PDF copy of the letter and details about written tests are available on the portal.  To access the portal please use the same username/email and password as you did when you completed the application form.





Please note there will be no exceptions or changes allowed to timings for any individual as indicated in the timetable below.  

Two Test Sessions will be taking place at the Turk Maarıf College (TMK) Nicosia.




Session 1 – Morning


Type B Postgraduates

Type D Internships

Session 2 – Afternoon


Type A Undergraduates

Type C Short Term

Candidates must be at the venue at least 30 minutes before to the exam.   

Please make sure that you bring the following with you:

  • The candidate registration letter (which was given to you when you submitted your application)

  • Your ID card (a copy of the same ID card you provided when you submitted your application)

  • A pen, pencil, eraser/rubber

  • Bottle of water with labels removed

Please note that mobile phones are not allowed in the classrooms and must be switched off and will be placed in a separate room.

Calculators and other electronic devices are Not Allowed.

The interim report will be available on the portal as of 24 March 2017.   Updates will be posted here on this  website and our Facebook page as soon as it is available.  



Tips of the Day

Once an application is submitted on the portal, your application is not complete.  To complete your application you must submit the PDF copy by hand to our office with 2 passport sized  photographs and a copy of your ID/Passport that  you indicated on the application form.  When you bring these to our office, you will be given a 'Declaration Form'.   This form is the applicants declaration that they understand that if they are nominated for the scholarship that they are prepared and able to provide the supporting documents.  This declarations are as follows:


The language chosen for the programme of study, the language proficiency test, motivation letter and interview must be the same.

Applicants in sub-categories A2, D and C2 (language courses) may choose to write their motivation letter and have their interview in their native language e.g. Turkish



The deadline to submit applications is 10 March 2017 and  we have arranged our public hours to meet the demands of the programme. 

Our opening/public hours will be as follows from 6 to 10 March 2017 from 09:00-13:00 and 13:30-17:00.

Please note that while completing the form you can 'save' your information and go back and complete/change information, however, if you 'SUBMIT' your application no further changes can be made.

The last day to complete and submit an application is 10 March 2017, 17:00 (local time) Therefore it is very important that all candidates read the guidelines, take a look at sample application forms and other useful documents before completing and submitting the online application.

 The European Union Scholarship Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community

The call for applications for academic year 2017/18 is now open for the EU Scholarship Programme for the Turkish Cypriot Community.

In line with the objectives of bringing the Turkish Cypriot community closer to the European Union, the Scholarships Programme will award approximately128 grants to Turkish Cypriot students, graduates and professionals to study/ follow a training course or conduct research in an EU Member State for the academic year 2017/18.

The European Commission launched the programme in 2007 and to date more than 1000 individual scholarships have been granted to individuals for a value of 15 million Euros.  

Turkish Cypriot students, graduates and professionals will be able to benefit from the scholarship under four (4) different categories:  Undergraduate and Postgraduate  (Masters, PhD and post doctoral programs) for one academic year.  Short term is  for 2  to 6 months duration for a short term programme of study, academic research, professional courses,  or training prorammes including language studies.  Internships are for 2 o 6 months programmes of study.
