HOW TO ACCESS THE ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL

The online application portal (https://apply.abburs.eu/new) is now open.

Applicants can now start to fill in their scholarship application form.  Please go to the Step-by-Step guide on how to register on the online portal

Please note that while completing the form you can 'save' your information and go back and complete/change information, however, if you 'SUBMIT' your application no further changes can be made.

The last day to complete and submit an application is 10 March 2017, 17:00 (local time) Therefore it is very important that all candidates read the guidelines, take a look at sample application forms and other useful documents before completing and submitting the online application.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Embassy of Italy informs that applications for international EU and non EU students wishing to study at the University of Siena in the 2017/18 academic year are now open; students can apply via an online application system at http://enrolment.unisi.it/  for maximum of two different courses.

Students asking for admission to a first level degree (taught in Italian or English) are required to fill an application form and upload: 

  1. For the courses taught in English language: if they are non native English speakers a transcript of English proficiency test (TOEFL, Cambridge, etc.) or any statement proving an equivalent proficiency
  2. For the courses taught in Italian language: if they don't have the Italian citizenship or are non-EU citizen resident abroad must attach a certificate of proficiency in Italian, with language level - if they don't have the certification they will have to take an Italian language test before the beginning of the course;
  3. Copy of passport (if non-EU citizen) or Identity Card

Students wishing to apply for a first level degree usually get an admission letter within one week from application.

Admission to a second level degree is subject to a mandatory preliminary evaluation by the Academic Committee of the course chosen, students wishing to apply are required to fill in the online application form and upload:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  •  Transcript of exams with grade
  •  For the courses taught in English language: if they are non native English speakers: a transcript of English proficiency test (TOEFL, Cambridge, etc.) or any statement proving an equivalent proficiency
  • For the courses taught in Italian language: if they don't have the Italian citizenship or are non-EU citizen resident abroad must attach a certificate of proficiency in Italian, with language level - if they don't have the certification they will have to take an Italian language test before the beginning of the course;
  • Copy of passport (if non-EU citizen) or Identity Card
  • A motivation letter

Results of the evaluation (and the relative admission/rejection letter) can take up to two months.

The European Union Scholarship Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community

The call for applications for academic year 2017/18 is now open for the EU Scholarship Programme for the Turkish Cypriot Community.

In line with the objectives of bringing the Turkish Cypriot community closer to the European Union, the Scholarships Programme will award approximately128 grants to Turkish Cypriot students, graduates and professionals to study/ follow a training course or conduct research in an EU Member State for the academic year 2017/18.

The European Commission launched the programme in 2007 and to date more than 1000 individual scholarships have been granted to individuals for a value of 15 million Euros.  

Turkish Cypriot students, graduates and professionals will be able to benefit from the scholarship under four (4) different categories:  Undergraduate and Postgraduate  (Masters, PhD and post doctoral programs) for one academic year.  Short term is  for 2  to 6 months duration for a short term programme of study, academic research, professional courses,  or training prorammes including language studies.  Internships are for 2 o 6 months programmes of study.

Application start date:  Tuesday, 10 January 2017

Deadline:  Friday, 10 March 2017 17:00 (time zone used in northern part of Cyprus)

Written Tests:  Saturday, 1 April 2017

Interview datest :  1-17 May, 2017
